Environmental ethics have always been a fundamental objective for Felicetti, including safeguarding the natural surroundings of our pasta factory, and we have now decided to take a further step forward and project ourselves towards a future in which our packaging is not only recyclable, but also sustainable. Our pasta has new packaging, made 100% from paper, as certified by the trademark on the packs themselves.
This is because there cannot be development without sustainability, and we do not want to take anything away from nature and from our area.
The new wrapper itself tells a story, that of what the product encapsulates: the mountains, the unique, special place where we make our pasta, our Dolomites that are a UNESCO World Heritage Site; our high-altitude spring of extraordinarily pure water; and our 100% Italian durum wheat semolina (except, obviously, for our Kamut® Khorasan). We have also reviewed our assortment and our shapes of pasta which, with very few exceptions, are bronze-cut.
Free from superfluous elements and far away from the hustle and bustle, with the courage and pride of just being ourselves, we let our pasta speak for us, in our own distinctive style: a choice that comes from the heart, and with an even better future as its goal. .
NEW 100% PAPER PACKAGING
It is made from natural pure cellulose paper with PEFC certification, which comes from forests responsibly managed according to rigorous environmental, social, and economic standards. Its grammage has been carefully studied, in order to guarantee high performance in terms of resistance, both as regards the weight of the product and on our packaging lines. The paper's fibre is robust for highly resistant wrappers, and it is soft for automated packaging. It is heat-sealed using a synthetic water-based product, specially designed for use on automated packaging lines for dry food products.
Our packaging is made a from a single material and is 100% recyclable, thus becoming a resource for subsequent uses, and it is made from biodegradable and compostable materials, which are therefore environment friendly. It is breathable (i.e. it protects the pasta from external agents without creating condensation or humidity and preserves the organoleptic properties of the product). Within this packaging, Felicetti's pasta finds the ideal environment in which to preserve the taste and aroma of the freshly-cut product.
