It is Monograno’s 20 th birthday! Our line, born from the intuition that a monovarietal semolina of the highest quality could offer pasta a distinctly recognisable flavour, especially when mixed with the water and air from the Dolomites, has over time conquered the chefs of the world’s most important restaurants, becoming an indispensable ingredient of international research cuisine.
We decided to celebrate this important milestone at the Cracco Restaurant in Milan with 80 guests selected from among the stakeholders of our company, with special focus on those who have contributed to the birth and development of Monograno.
The Felicetti family, represented by the fourth and fifth generations, were joined by the company’s management, its suppliers, and accredited journalists and chefs. Amongst them were also the two Felicetti Ambassadors: Alessandro Gilmozzi of the El Molin restaurant in Cavalese (Trento), one Michelin star and green star, and Norbert Niederkofler, Atelier Moessmer in Brunico (Bolzano), three Michelin stars and green star. Davide Scabin, to whom Riccardo Felicetti, Managing Director of Pastificio Felicetti, wished to emphasise their debt of gratitude for having broken all the customs associated with dry pasta, was also present.
The evening was hosted by Gabriele Zanatta of Identità Golose, the cooking congress celebrating its twentieth edition this year at the same time as the twentieth anniversary of Monograno, and was enriched by a surprise musical tribute from the world-renowned trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso, accompanied at the piano by Gianluca Di Ienno.
At the end, as in any birthday party worth its name, there was the inevitable cutting of the 20 cakes prepared for the occasion, one for each of Monograno Felicetti’s 20 years.
