My name is Melania Delai, and I am a professional tennis player; currently my WTA ranking is 512.
I’ve been playing tennis since I was eight or nine, when I went to see one of my cousins play a match and immediately fell in love with this sport.
I’ve played in all the Junior Grand Slam tournaments: Wimbledon, Roland Garros, U.S. Open and Australian Open.
I took part in this year’s Italian Open, even beating a player ranked 70 by the WTA. I also played in the WTA tournament in Palermo. Now, until 15th December (when I start my winter training), I am out playing on tour around the world.
I am the top-ranked player in Italy born in 2002, and I can boast various ITF Pro titles.
