Eva Lechner leads the African mountain bike race with Felicetti
Together with best wishes from Felicetti the promising athlete arrived as planned in Africa for the race. The competition will last from the 27th March until the 3rd April and attracts 1,200 participants from 54 countries. It will be a headlong rush with 7 laps along a stunning path, fully off-road, over a total distance of 707 Km covering an impressive difference of 14,550 meters of level in height over the course of the race. Eva Lechner has already won the opening chronometer race and the first 89 Km lap with 2,050 meters difference of height level arriving a whole 2 min ahead of her nearest competitor. Even more overwhelming was her victory during the third stage of the race of 104 Km, which was highly selective because of the difference in level of 2,300 meters with the start point and finish line at Saronberg in Tulback, South Africa. Eva Lechner and her partner are clearly on top of the leader board with a 13.39 minutes lead over their competitors. Felicetti’s sponsorship paves the way for an excellent partnership during this first season’s test which prepares the athletes for the upcoming world championship.
